We are working with the IBM team to resolve some performance and installation issues with the Gist plugin for Notes on the Mac platform. We'll update this thread as those issues are resolved. Drag and Drop installation of the plugin will appear to work on the Mac, but in most cases, the installation will not complete. If, however, you are able to install the plugin you may experience performance issues and therefore we are not recommending users install the plugin on the Mac.
If you attempt to update the Gist plugin from notes client, the following error is returned:
CWPPR0031W: The requested provisioning operation(s) completed with partial success.

Thanks for the information, and I apologize for the inconvenience - we'll have QA and the Dev take a look.

Greg
I've installed the Gist client and configured, but it won't remember my log in information and keep me logged in. I have the setting checked in the preferences "Keep Me Logged In" but I have to log in each time. Is there a setting in the prefs file not getting set? Or a log I can look at? I've run the update with the above remote location and it says I'm up to date. It seems that after I log in, it has to go through the "indexing" again and is a bit of a drain on the system. Notes 8.5 Thanks
Receiving an error when attempting to add the Gist plugin-in for lotus notes 8.5 (W7/IE8). Error states unable to parse feed from host when attempting to add the new sibscription to the RSS feed sidebar. The URL attempting to be loaded is https://downloads.gist.com/lotus/current/extension.xml.
Thanks in advance for the help.
When trying to install the Gist plugin in Notes 8.5 (using File-Application-Install and adding the https://downloads.gist.com/lotus/current download site) I get the following error:
Gist Plugin (1.0.43) requires plug-in "org.eclipse.jface.text (3.4.2)", or later version.

Thanks for the feedback - I'll pass this on to the development team.

Greg
I have couple of issues with the widget that I wanted to report:
1. For some reason email headers are not being uploaded to gist. According to Gist status, only 3 have from 4/15, even though many contacts are uploaded. (see below)
2. Contacts: Contacts uploaded from Lotus notes (email) dont have email addresses populated if the contact is an internal Notes user. In addition "connected via" appears blank when looking at the contact via Gist.com site. When looking at the same contact from Notes, it says connected via Lotus. Email address does not appear in either view. If there is an existing contact in Gist with the same name, an additional contact is created, therefore duplicating records.

I apologize for the inconvenience.
Thanks for the information - I'll get this to a developer to have a look.

I'm having a problem similar to Joakim. I drag the lastest Gist plugin to the Notes 8.5 widget sidebar, but it doesn't work.
I get
"The widget provisioning was not successful."
and
"Requested operation cannot be performed because it would invalidate the current configuration. See details for more information. Gist plugin (1.0.71) requires plug-in “org.eclipse.jface.text (3.4.2)”"
I also get "Requested operation cannot be performed because it would invalidate the current configuration. See details for more information. Gist plugin (1.0.71) requires plug-in “org.eclipse.jface.text (3.4.2)"
I really want this to work!

Kolya -
Please confirm that you are using Notes 8.5.1, which you will need to run Gist.
Thanks!

Greg - Thanks. We're only on 8.5 at the moment: I guess I have to wait for our org to upgrade.
Looking forward to it!

When dragging it into the sidebar of my Notes 8.5.1 Fix Pack 2 client, I receive the error: Unable to parse feed from host.
The link being used is https://downloads.gist.com/lotus/current/extension.xml
Any help would be appreciated! Thanks.
Michael - thanks for the feedback -- I see that you've added a ticket and we'll take a look.

I don't see the LinkedIn entries in the Notes plugin. On the website for Gist, my contacts have LinkedIn accounts, and the corresponding icon to click, but in the Notes plugin, while I see facebook icon and twitter icon, I don't see a LinkedIn icon. Please advise. Thank you. Jeff

Thanks, I'll ask a developer about this.

When dragging it into the sidebar of my Notes 8.5.1 Fix Pack 1 client, I receive the error: The widgets below had issues during installation. See the log for more details. I don't see anything in my log.
The link being used is https://downloads.gist.com/lotus/current/extension.xml
Any help would be appreciated! Thanks.
Any plans to support 8.5? I too am stuck with 8.5 at my company and I'm receiving the message that says:
"Requested operation cannot be performed because it would invalidate the current configuration. See details for more information. Gist plugin (1.0.71) requires plug-in “org.eclipse.jface.text (3.4.2)"
How can I install GIST plugin on Inotes ? I have the widget bar active but where can I copy the XML code from ?
Thanks
Massimo

Please visit http://gist.com/lotus or send your question to feedback@gist.com for more information.
Thanks,
Greg
The sample at page http://gist.com/lotus is related to the Lotus Notes Client, the same thing can be done with the web client (INotes) but without "drag&drop". With web client you must insert directly the widget XML code. This is what I'm missing.
I'll drop a line to the mail address you suggested.
Thanks
Massimo
